Illegal immigrants have been busy during the California wildfires. On Wednesday, October 24th, six to eight illegal aliens were arrested for stealing food, water and supplies meant for victims of the fires. They were spotted by witnesses who reported they stole at least three loads of stolen goods in their van. The illegals were confronted by San Diego Police who called Border Patrol agents because the illegals only spoke Spanish. After briefly interviewing them, the thieving immigrants admitted they had stolen the donated goods. It has been reported they were selling the goods at a marked up price.
There have been several reports of illegal immigrants, or immigrants who are allegedly here legally, committing arson. Catalino Pineda was arrested after he was seen starting a fire in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday and then leaving the fire. It has been reported the Guatemala native has a questionable background and several organizations are looking into the history of his alleged legal status. Gorgonio Nava, who currently has a detainer by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), was arrested for starting a fire in a San Diego suburb. Illegal immigrants have also been starting international fires near the border to distract U.S. Border Patrol. There is a deep history of illegal immigrants starting fires near U.S. Border Patrol locations.
On Sunday afternoon, October 26th, U.S. Customs Inspectors in east San Diego abandoned their station as the wildfires were too close for comfort. Not longer after the chain to the fence was cut, the gate swung open and people were rushing through the Tecate Port. “Who knows if they had papers or not?” said Adan Nunez Estrada, a Mexican Customs inspector who works at the crossing. Witnesses have reported that some people disappeared into the hills west of town and suspected looters may have been among them.
In desperate times like these, with devastating wildfires and legal residents’ homes burned to nothing, it is a shame our law enforcement, border security and even hospitals are further burdened by the illegal immigration problem. We should be able to focus all of our resources on our legal citizens, but until we begin to focus on the illegal immigration problem there will always be an extra burden on our resources. It’s just more apparent when there is a national disaster.
So far from the viedos of the fires, it will probably turn out to be some young dumb person. I would be cautious before pointing the finger at who might have set the fires.
Thanks Texas Jam, I made sure to not point fingers at the illegal aliens. The fires they started were in suburbs outside the wildfire area as I mentioned. My point is that the small fires they are starting, the looting and stealing of donated goods, cutting fences and crossing the border during the fire, and the fires they are starting near the border are not helping the situation. They are causing further burden on resources that are really lacking right now due to the fires.
Jim, You are wrong. Pineda was in the country Legally. Additionally, he was accused, no one saw him do anything. Plus he was a street person wacko who called the cops frequently. This is clearly a set up.
Those that set fires and were arrested under million dollar bonds were John Alfred Rund and Anthony Riperti. Both citizens. Some reports say they were Minutemen and NSMs. There was just another article about minuteman Rund yesterday. Seems he had a huge stash of weapons.
If you are going to post this stuff, please do it accurately.http://www.vvdailypress.com/news/rund_3510___article.html/possession_charges.html
Woah there Nellie, I assume Jim is me. Regarding Pineda, I said people were looking into his alleged legal status (which was reported at the time of my post). I never said he was in the country illegally in my post. In my quick comment to Texas JAM, I did lump the two fire starters together without thinking, but not on purpose and I stand by the original post. Secondly, there are news reports that state people saw him start a fire and then leave it as it was still burning. I did the research and what I said is accurate based on several news reports from major and credible news agencies.
Lastly, I never said anything about Rund or Riperti and was not aware of them at the time of the post. Ironically, you say “some reports say they were Minutemen…” and then in your next sentence you say “minuteman Rund”. You also called Pineda’s situation “clearly a setup” when you have no proof of that. Calling kettle . . .
This site focuses on the dangers of illegal immigration, we leave the pro-immigration propaganda (and unbridled love for Hillary) for other sites. There are some minutemen type organizations that we would not want to be a part of, and would not allow comments to be posted from based on their comments / views. However, and another ironic point, the only “racist” comments we get (which we don’t allow on the site) are from pro-illegal immigration people.
And to stay on target, you failed to even speak to the point of my post. The fires started by at least one illegal immigrant in San Diego, the border fence being cut during the wildfires while “alleged” illegal immigrants broke through the border, the looting of donated goods by illegal immigrants so they could sell them to legal residents in desperate need, and even the illegal immigrants who were unfortunately injured due to the wildfires and cared for at hospitals with U.S. tax payer money . . . it all caused extra burden on our resources during a major disaster. Where is your concern about all of that? Or are you just going to report about the alleged wacko minuteman?
No known illegal immigrants have been reported. If you are speaking of Nava, no one has his status. He was whisked to a Detention Facility (a black hole). Also the tip came from an Anonymous Caller. Coincidentally, if you pay attention, Nava lived only 7 miles away from SD MM HQ.
BTW friend, I allow ALL to post on my blog and welcome discussion and civil argument on my site from both sides. I do not edit comments nor moderate them in any way. The only requirement is, I ask for no foul language. Most commentors comply. I keep the discussions active and leading edge on the most political issues. I want people to discuss and challenge each other.
My post mentioned separate fires in one paragraph, and was a minor point of my post. Besides why would a legal immigrant have a detainer on him by ICE? You still didn’t address my MAIN POINT. Where is your concern for the extra burden on resources during a disaster?
Also, I said I only ban racists comments, which so far have only been from you pro-illegal immigration people (or if I stooped to your level I would call them flaming PROs). Racist comments and racial slurs DO NOT allow for civil argument as you allude. If you continue to not address the MAIN POINT of my post I will ban you. If we are going to have an intelligent discussion, you need to stay on target, and not just address one paragraph as you’re only talking points. You also blatantly ignore other points from visitors on your website, which destroys your credibility.
